No. 42 has a special significance for husband and wife team, David and Catherine, this being their first home together and where family life began with daughters, Isabelle and Emilia.
During a career break to look after their daughters, Catherine refurbished and renovated several properties, igniting a passion for interior design, beginning with their next family home, a beautiful Edwardian property. “I love period properties and when we walked through the door, although a project, I knew this was the one, it was just in need of a little TLC!” recalls Catherine.
After creating a luxurious, elegant yet functional family home, Catherine was asked by friends and family alike to assist with their interior projects. A task which she relished!
After many successful projects and delighted ‘customers’, No.42 Interiors was founded, enabling Catherine to share her passion for interiors by creating timelessly, beautiful living spaces for clients.
I strongly believe that a home should encapsulate family life, creating a sanctuary for relaxing together, memory making and, of course, having fun
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Catherine on our project, she has been brilliant and given us the stir we needed to get things moving forward with the house. Thank you once again for all your help and assistance with our refurb, we really appreciate your time and inspiration
Catherine has a great creative eye, attention to detail, sense of colour, materials and spatial awareness. She helps you make your house into the home you have always dreamt of. She is genuine, honest, trustworthy and thoughtful. Like bringing a friend in to help!
I was extremely pleased with Catherine’s colour consultation service. She understood how and when we live in various parts of our home. The colours presented worked extremely well with the lighting and delivered the mood we hoped for. I would not have believed the difference choosing the right colours made to my reception rooms, it really has transformed my living spaces. We look forward to working with Catherine again on our future project
